The School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences (IAS) invites you to join us for one or more of our upcoming Prospective Graduate Student Days. These are an excellent opportunity to hear from the IAS Graduate Office, engage with faculty, alumni, and current students, and attend a class. For this session, prospective students will have the opportunity to experience Dr. Lauren Berliner's Media, Power, and Practice course.

Dr. Berliner recently published Producing Queer Youth: The Paradox of Digital Media Empowerment, a monograph which combines participatory action research and textual analysis to examine how queer youth media producers negotiate the structural conditions of funding and publicity and incorporate digital self-representations into practices of identity management.  She is also co-editor of Feminist Interventions in Participatory Media: Pedagogy, Publics, Practice, just out from Routledge Press.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
